Bottle poured into Bitburger glass. Darkish amber colour with off white head and nice lacing. Faint aroma of sweet malts, dried fruit, chocolate. Taste is pretty subtle, a touch of bitterness at first, then a faint touch of sweetness. Would be nice if everything was ramped up a bit.

This is a lovely deep brown beer, with a sweet berry and malt nose, and a delicious malty, caramel, tart berries, hazelnut and a touch of hops in the flavour. Great balance, it goes down very easy, a satisfying pint. Always good to know it’s available on my supermarket shelves.
