COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled; Occasional. Originally brewed as a one off to celebrate the opening of our new brewhouse and our new distribution centre, we have decided to repeat the beer again in 2009. It came first in its class at the 2008 World beer awards and has also won a Gold medal at the 2008 BBI (British Bottlers Institute) awards. The beer was created under the direction of our Chairman, Jonathan Adnams, whose instruction was to ‘Brew something to wow me’. The beer, our version of an American IPA, is brewed with a blend of Wheat and Pale ale malts to give a spicy, biscuity undertone to the beer, but it is in the hops where the beer really shines. A blend of hops from England, Slovenia and America (namely Boadicea, Columbus and Stryian Goldings) combine to give a wonderful grapefruit and tropical fruit aroma and bitterness that is balanced by the sweetness of the barley.

Bottle (33cl). Clear amber/golden colour. Small off-white head that only leaves a tiny amount of lacing and a few bubbles along the glass wall. Aroma of resin, herbs, mint, alcohol, butter, hay. Taste is moderately bitter-sweet with a dry, herbal finish. Medium body, slightly watery mouthfeel, soft carbonation.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Norway (on order), bb date 31.09.2015. Clear golden color, good foam. Aromas of malt, caramel, hops with caramel dominating ( was surprised when I checked the bb date so far away); medium intensity. Medium body & complexity. Quite high sweetness for an IPA (even English)- good bitterness balances most but not all of it. Too much caramel and sweetness in my opinion. Pretty ok

Good English IPA. Pleasant, citrus fruit. A little sweet. A pleasant bitterness at the finish.

330 ml bottle. Deep amber, perfectly clear, with an average, fluffy and persistent off white head. Not the most fresh and intense aroma but clean and inviting enough: plenty of peaches and blood orange/grapefruit notes, slightly resinous and piney, a hint of mint bubblegum, overall very fruity and sweet smelling. The taste pretty much follow suite, it’s definitely on the sweet side, the bitterness is there but pretty moderate and not that lingering. Pleasent chewy and wheaty earthyness/spiceness, citrus forward aftertaste. Slightly watery and excellent drinkability considering the ABV, it drinks like a proper session beer. Soft to average carbonation, light to medium body, creamy texture. Well made.

33cl bottle. Pour is clear golden with thin white lacing head. Aroma mostly hoppy and citrus, some pine as well. Taste very bitter, good malts, no sweetness at all. Feels a bit oily in the mouth, little to none carbonation. Aftertaste balanced bitterness. Great, tasty and quality product.

Pours really well. Fruity and upbeat aroma. Looks gorgeous. Quite a thick and treacly taste. Which is odd given the appearance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear orange color, topped with a decent white head. Retention ok. Malty aroma, some notes of fruits also in there. Starts with a hint of fruity sweetness, followed by a decent hoppy body and nice bitterness in the end. A good one. Nothing extra special about it, but still nice.

Kullankeltainen, nopeasti häipyvä vaahto, kirkas. TUoksuu hieman märälle nahkatakille, karamellisuutta ja humalaa. Maku alkaa hyvin katkeran humaloituna, kehittyy karamellisemmaksi ja loppuu hieman sitruksisena ja katkarana.
