2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap@Pelt Trader, Cannon Street, London - Pours fuzzy orange with medium puffy white head. Malty caramel, medium undertones of citrus in there but "a little bit messy" on the palate for me. Ok overall all.

Noe uklar lys brun, lite skum.
Lukter hvete og appelsin. Noe metalliskk og hvete også i smaken, middels bitterhet, middels kullsyre.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Didn’t really work; the aroma coming from the glass is too fragile for what is supposed to be an American IPA. The hops and the malt aren’t playing nicely together, and the body is a too light. But, thinking of it instead as a pale ale, it’s not too bad. A little fruity, a little sweet, a mild sticky bitterness at the end. Good, but not great.

Bottle from a trade with Cunningham. Many thanx for that gem!
BBE date 20.Jan.2013! Pours pale orange with very flat head. Smell is hoppy-fruity, slight floral. Starts floral hoppy, very bitterish, with lots of floral hops and slight fruity nuances. Middle part is also very floral, with some citrus fruits in the background. Some caramel malts are noticeable. Goes into a caramelly and floral hoppy finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle (330ml) Amber with a thin white head. Floral and hoppy. Slightly sweet, but a long bitter finish. Felt more like a nice heavy lager than an IPA.

Pours cloudy orange with foam head. Malty caramel with bitterness aftertaste. Hints of citrus and a bang with the carbonation as it goes down. Nice beer.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2013 For the un-initiated like me, some beers just pour flawlessly, with a universally-perfect amount of head. Other beers demand constraint, while the third group requires carelessness. Of course the first learning step would be to pour according to the type of beer, but I just do not seem to learn and I always pour consistently identical. No wonders some will have excessive head while others will have no head at all. But Adnams Innovation belongs to the first group mentioned on top: Just impeccable. Not only does it look spectacular, but this is a perfectly balanced beer in terms of aroma, flavour and palate. I lovely fruity hopiness spiced around the sweet malty body. This is the type of IPA that I would have loved to taste when introduced to the style. A true English IPA that proudly and elegantly carries a load of hoppy bitterness, much beyond many others that carry only the name on the label.
