COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled; Occasional. Originally brewed as a one off to celebrate the opening of our new brewhouse and our new distribution centre, we have decided to repeat the beer again in 2009. It came first in its class at the 2008 World beer awards and has also won a Gold medal at the 2008 BBI (British Bottlers Institute) awards. The beer was created under the direction of our Chairman, Jonathan Adnams, whose instruction was to ‘Brew something to wow me’. The beer, our version of an American IPA, is brewed with a blend of Wheat and Pale ale malts to give a spicy, biscuity undertone to the beer, but it is in the hops where the beer really shines. A blend of hops from England, Slovenia and America (namely Boadicea, Columbus and Stryian Goldings) combine to give a wonderful grapefruit and tropical fruit aroma and bitterness that is balanced by the sweetness of the barley.

500ml bottle BB Aug 2015. Dirty orange, slight haze, very small white head, still. Aroma is fruit and barley squash, sherbet. Body is medium, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is gluey, resin, straw, watery, a bit metallic, medium bitterness. Decent enough.

Drank as a draught. Very nice! The beer is definitely an ipa. The taste is a bit sweet and quite soft.

(bottle) clear golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of herbal hops and alcohol, with some notes of vanilla, peaches, grass and cherries. flavour is mostly pale malts and resin, again quite alcoholic, with some herbal hops, caramel, light cactus juice and a light-bitter finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Pours very light almost like a lager. Aroma is filled with banana. Taste is malty even a bit stale with citrus hop finish. Very disappointing.

Clear, deep golden beer with a thin filmy head. Light bitter lemon scent. Flavour is hoppy citrus with a touch of other fruit (apple maybe?) coming through giving it quite a mellow quality. Not spectacular but very drinkable.

If you lie low enough for long enough you can potentially be as innovative as you like. It’s all nonsense of course but then pretence was always part of the er... pretence. Do you remover the funny caterpillar thing on sticks that danced across the screen before we started pretending? It’s alright but it’s not wine or whisky which is where the time adverbial can be found.

Clear orangy color with a white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is hoppy and floral, with orange, peach and pineapple. Taste is rich in sweet citrus fruits, very floral and with peach and grapefruit hints. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Interesting IPA.

Bottle at home. Has a clear orange colour with a very small head. Fruity aroma with citrus, caramel, spices, tropical fruits, oranges and banana. The flavour is also fruity with grapefruit, hay and more tropical fruits. Has a slick and silky mouth feel, and a light bitterness. An incredibly fruity IPA, but the bitterness is pretty low.

330 ml bottle. Golden pour with small head. Grapefruit and wheat favouring. Not really to my taste.
