COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tasting notes and ingredients We’ve used lots of hops from North America – Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo and Citra – because we just love the delicious, big, bold, citrus and pine flavours and aromas they bring to the beer. To balance out all this hoppy goodness we’ve added Rye, plus some Pale Ale and Cara Malt, to imbue sweetness, body and balance as well as some lovely subtle toffee flavours. Want to know more? The recipe for our Rye IPA was created by Adnams brewer (and certified hop freak) Belinda, who was excited to be able to let her passion for American craft beers shine through in this flavoursome brew. Jack Brand Rye IPA is available for a limited time in 30L kegs in selected outlets. Food Matches Pair our Rye IPA with spicy Mexican dishes or hot Caribbean flavours.

330ml bottle from Stirchley Wines, as Adnams Rye IPA. Pours dark amber with thin beige head. Aroma of dark fruits & soft caramel. Taste is weak and thin, a touch of caramel and malt with slight citrus. For a ’hop freak’ I’d have thought Belinda could’ve pushed the boat out a bit more. Also where’s the rye?

33 cl. bottle. Hazy, dark amber bordering brown with a thin off-white head. Fruity aroma with grasses, herbal-spiced notes - the rye malts - caramel and bread. Light citrus and grapefruit. Taste is light bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and fruity with herbal-spiced rye malts and caramel. I like the rye malts in this one.

Good light brown color. Fruity aroma. Bitterness at the end. Low body (too low for my taste).

Pours a dark amber, light brown. More malty that expected with summer fruits and a bit of that rye.

Keg at the Champion W2. Ruddy brown colour, clear, thin foam. Fruity crunchy hops, balanced by some solid amber malts. Bittersweet rather than bitter. Faint hint of some rye funkiness. Not the most aggressively flavoured example I’ve had of this style, but well balanced and tasty.
