COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tasting notes and ingredients We’ve used lots of hops from North America – Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo and Citra – because we just love the delicious, big, bold, citrus and pine flavours and aromas they bring to the beer. To balance out all this hoppy goodness we’ve added Rye, plus some Pale Ale and Cara Malt, to imbue sweetness, body and balance as well as some lovely subtle toffee flavours. Want to know more? The recipe for our Rye IPA was created by Adnams brewer (and certified hop freak) Belinda, who was excited to be able to let her passion for American craft beers shine through in this flavoursome brew. Jack Brand Rye IPA is available for a limited time in 30L kegs in selected outlets. Food Matches Pair our Rye IPA with spicy Mexican dishes or hot Caribbean flavours.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear nutty brown with a smallish, dissipating off-white head. Nose is estery British yeast, caramel and phenols - sorry but I simply don’t find those nice hop varieties mentioned on the label. Medium body, lowish carbonation, caramel and some odd off-flavors. Bitter finish but no aromatics. Poor - old? 150115

Tynd fylde. Ikke god.

Scopey (7650) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 28, 2014
Bottle at Granite City. It pours clear deep red-brown with medium beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, spicy, wood, earth, toasty brown bread and dried fruits. The taste is bitter, piney, rye bread, varnish, leather, spice, toffee, resin, earth, grapefruit and orange rind with a lingering dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Punchy bitterness. Nice earthy resin. Good work.

Extremely hopy, pine and grains. And yes, punchy and caramel! Can not detect rye at all. Clear copper, little bit watery but nice.

Bottle, 5%. Refreshing caramel aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Good stable tan head. The flavour is spicy and slightly roasted with a good grassy hoppiness. Well-balanced.
