3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ladnewton (910) - London, - JUL 13, 2011
Cask at the Antelope, Tooting, London on 28th May 2011. Clear copper with part lacing white foam ring. Fruity aroma. Delicate yet rich liquid with fruitiness and floral hop, nuttiness, vanilla touch and some citric grapefruit on the tongue. Increasingly bitter, lengthy finish. Zingy mouthfeel. Satisfying, more-ish session ale, very well-kept by the pub.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 worldbeertaste (613) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2012
I had it under the name Eat, Drink, and Be Jolly at the Piccadilly pub in Manchester. Light amber gold with a simple off-whie lasting head. Smells of malt, caramel, light hop citrus and orange. Nice flowery smell. Medium oily body. Sweet fruity peach malt start with a simple dry hop bitter finish. Common enough light bitter.

Hand pulled at the White Swan, Edgbaston, Birmingham. Frothy amber bitter. Soft caramel flavour, with buttery pepper body. In many ways this is sort of a classic UK style bitter and it was served in great condition, but ut’s just a hopless, undramatic flavour. Refreshing, but not my style.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 hughie (3992) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2011
Cask at The Green Man, Trumpington, Cambridgeshire, under the alias of Adnams Eat Drink and be Jolly. Amber-gold. Pleasing malty aroma and taste with a little background fruit. Mid bitter finish. Nice low-gravity beer but devoid of any semblance of Christmas atmosphere, which I unkindly punished in my overall score.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 imdownthepub (7461) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 11, 2011
Cask conditioned at The Easington Hotel, Banbury (Ember Inns). Gold to amber with white head. Thinnish, slightly astringent beer with a pine like note. Dull and hardly festive really, little on the flavour front. Earlier Rating: 10/31/2011 Total Score: 2.8 Cask conditioned, gravity dispensed, at The Olde Reinedeer, Banbury. Pale gold with no head. Flowery, perfumed light beer, really quite thin on the palate, although reasonable for ABV. A slight metallic note in the close.
