2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tasted this in the Lord Nelson, Southwold. Hand pump dispense. Crystall clear gold amber in colour with a thin white head. Slight citric tang in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and slight lacing. Pale malts give a juicy citric fruit base with lemon rind evident. Floral hop resins give a tart bitter bite in the aftertaste. Finish is rather dry and hoppy. An ok golden ale, perfect on warm summer days.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Gravity at Derby Beer Festival. I’m a fan of Adnams ales and was looking forward to this summer seasonal for the first time. Aroma was a little disappointing; slightly sour, slightly stagnant hops. Good looking blond, light gold with creamy head. Crisp and creamy tasting. Above average blond.

Cask Summer ’04: Floral fruity nose. Pale golden hue. Slightly metallic, faintly sour, light body, finishing with crisp bitter hops. Refreshing and quite quaffable I must say.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A mid, golden amber beer with a weak white head. The nose is citrusy, hoppy and slightly floral, then a malty aroma. The taste is dry and bitter. Follows the aroma with zesty, floral hop, which is accompanied by a thick, slightly cloying maltiness. (Cask - The Fox & Hounds, Heacham, Norfolk).

Cask at The Country Girl, Selly Oak, Birmingham. Straw with a good-sized dense head. Malty scent with grasses and some caramel. Slight carbonation. Good mouthfeel. Earthy malts with some hop on the end. Nice but not complex. Dry end.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
On cask in England. Golden appearance with a very stale hop smell. The flavor had a metallic and astringent profile to it. Some bitterness in the end, but hard to choke down.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fresh hopped nose with a hint of honey. Golden hue with a white creamy head and loads of lacing. Malty initially with a dry hoppy finish and hints of flora. A well balanced and enjoyable cask ale.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draught at Duke of Wellington, Waterloo. Nose of hops and some metal. Taste is weak and thin, some malt and hops but the metallic taste is a bit much for me. FInishes with a long dry note.
