2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear amber beer with a thin head. A mild aroma with a citric edge to it. The flavour is also not especially strong though that’s probably to be expected. Citrusy and slightly hoppy as well, it’s not anything special but it’s quite pleasant for a fairly low-alcohol beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Deep amber pour. The nose is lightly spicy/woody and fairly malty. Has a decent palate and a bit of soft fruit. Lightly crackery with a bit of rye-like character along with it. Decent brew. Quite light.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pale brown with thin lacy head. Light caramel malt in the aroma. Flavour is malty with a dry, hoppy finish. Lacks a bit of body but it’s a good ’Low Alcohol’ beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Reddish amber beer with a strong frothy off white head. The aroma is yeasty and toffee hopped, and the flavour is very bitter with yeasty and toffee hoppedness. Overall a nice bitter, not bad for 2.7% alc.

Low in alcohol and you can certainly taste it. Still, a nice easy option to have if you need to go easy.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - Amber with a thin off white head which slowly disappears to a ring. Aroma of fruit with a hint of pineapple, some grass and spice. Taste of light fruits, malt and hay followed by some grass and medium bitterness. Light body, light carbonation. A bit watery.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A mid copper amber coloured beer with a weak white head. A strong hoppy aroma, grassy and citrusy, plus a hint of cereal wheat and malt. Dry mouthfeel. That taste starts off hoppy, citrusy and floral, then a light smooth, malty flavour. The finish is hoppy, but does lack body.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at the chriso Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013 - London. Pours clear amber with a slight, white foam head. Basic dry bread and dry caramel in the aroma. Light sweet flavor with simplistic, dried bready malts and lightly bitter, toasted leaves. Light in body with fine carbonation. Bland finish with more basic, dry bread and faint leafy bitterness. Meh.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from M&S Reading. Amber with a moderate off-white head. Grapefruit and lemon hops are evident up front but are never overpowering. There’s still a surprising amount of maltiness coming through too. Yes, the mouthfeel is a little thin (although I’ve had some at twice the abv that have felt thinner), but somehow that works with the other elements of the beer (in particular the crisp bitterness in the finish) to make it feel refreshing rather than weak. I guess anyone can sling a load of hops and make a low abv beer strongly flavoured. However to make it tasty and yet still retain a great balance is much more tricky- yet Adnams have achieved it here. In short I loved this beer; I’d happily have it again. Wish more pubs would stock tasty low ABV beers like this on cask tor summer afternoons and long evening sessions. Great stuff.
