2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear amber beer with a thin head. A mild aroma with a citric edge to it. The flavour is also not especially strong though that’s probably to be expected. Citrusy and slightly hoppy as well, it’s not anything special but it’s quite pleasant for a fairly low-alcohol beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shinny ruby with a rapidly disappearing white head. Strong american cascade arome with piney resinous notes and a touch of dark caramel malt. Light palate. A bit watery but quaffable and flavorful for its gravity

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle from M&S (as Southwold).
Thin off white head, very thin lacing, clear amber body. Good nose of toffee and caramel, sprightly hops. Flavour is lightly floral, grassy, caramel finish, a bit watery. Mouthfeel is thin, medium carbonation. A bit thin overall but a decent low abv option.

Bottled, 500ml, as Southwold 2.7%, from Marks & Spencer in Banbury. Brown with white head. Light, sweetish beer with a hint of caramel, some citrus notes, cleanish and reasonably bitter. It’s ok.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Deep amber pour. The nose is lightly spicy/woody and fairly malty. Has a decent palate and a bit of soft fruit. Lightly crackery with a bit of rye-like character along with it. Decent brew. Quite light.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pale brown with thin lacy head. Light caramel malt in the aroma. Flavour is malty with a dry, hoppy finish. Lacks a bit of body but it’s a good ’Low Alcohol’ beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Reddish amber beer with a strong frothy off white head. The aroma is yeasty and toffee hopped, and the flavour is very bitter with yeasty and toffee hoppedness. Overall a nice bitter, not bad for 2.7% alc.

Low in alcohol and you can certainly taste it. Still, a nice easy option to have if you need to go easy.

In Southwold, low alcohol content but tastes good with a good floral, citrusy taste...
