COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION Created in celebration of 350 years of brewing on the site of our present brewery, Solebay is brewed in the style of a sparkling Belgian beer. It is presented in a 750ml bottle within a presentation tin, making it ideal for sharing at celebrations, or as a gift. The tin features an illustration of the Adnams brewery and Southwold by East Anglian artist and printmaker James Dodds. Solebay is brewed with East Anglian Pilsner malted barley, and a combination of demerara and muscovado sugar, lightly hopped with Nelson Sauvign. Unusually for this style of beer, which often uses Champagne yeasts for fermentation, we’ve used our own brewery yeast. Fergus, Head Brewer, added a few springs of locally-grown lavender at the end of fermentation to imbue a subtle floral note to the beer. It has been matured for six months on fine yeast lees to pick up some of the bready character often associated with sparkling wine and Champagne
