2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask in the Grenadier, a while ago now. Dark brown malty beer, some fruit, I guess unusually malt over hops for an Adnams. Decent enough, though I don’t remember being inspired.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the Fitzrovia (Taylor Walker), Goodge Street in London. Reddish brown body. Thin off white head. Malty, hops, red fruit, blackcurrant, raspberries, black malt. Bittersweet with some sourness. Dry finish. I wouldn’t really call this a mild, more of a bitter. As others have commented, an unusual beer for Adnams, as this is more malt than hop led.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask @ The Greyhound, a Taylor Walker pub in Kensington. Is this a rebadge? The pour’s deep brown with a small head. The nose is berry, some spice, rich malts, general fruits. The taste is chewy, thick sweet malts, caramel, light toasted coconut and brown bread. Berry. Rich, smooth palate. Still, not drinking on great form. Overall, OK.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I reckon this is exactly the same ale as Adnam’s Gunhill which coincidently is also 4% ABV.
