COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular.
Originally known as "Southwold Bitter", in 2000 became "Bitter", in early 2006 became "The Bitter", in 2008 returned to "Southwold Bitter"
Was sold as "George Ale" for the George Inn in Southwark until 2007.
A classic cask bitter: the choice of a growing number of discerning licensees. Fragrant aromas of finest English hops and malt. Dry but refreshing, with a distinctive lingering bitterness. Appetising and delicious. Adnams bitter is a category champion.

smells like yoghurt??? Dark gold in colour creamy white head, mildly sweet with a bitter tang very creamy and smooth.

Cask black rock wakefield. Dark amber good white head lacing. Aroma is fruity malts. Taste is same caramel sweetness decent bitter finish. Medium body. Decent.

Cask at JDW, Crystal Palace. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is lightly malty with a hint of lemon. Light body, medium carbonation. Slightly cake maltiness, with toffee, sponge cake, lemon... OK.

Cask at the Somerville Arms, Leamington Spa. Medium white head with an amber body. Hops, red fruit. Bittersweet, some sourness. Dry finish. Turning to vinegar.
