3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at the Anthologist. Clear copper pour with a medium, white head. Standard aroma, some leafy bitters, earth, bready malts. Flavor isnít bad, lightly sweet with toasty bread and mild, citric bitters. Light to medium in body with fine to average carbonation. Dries out in the finish with modest malt sweetness, faint citrus and earthy hops that hit the throat. Unexciting overall but not bad.

One of those beers that Iíve overlooked on the bar, dozens of times, searching for something "better". Shame, really, as this is a very decent session beer, with a subtle, fresh malt and hop character that I wonít overlook in future.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at GBD in Washington. Poured a nice golden brown color, huge fluffy, foamy white head. Aroma was light malts, some pepper-like earthy hop notes. Flavor is earthy hops, light, thin malts. Highly drinkable and a lot more flavorful than I would have expected. A nice bitter, but donít expect it to shatter your world.

A clear dark brown pour from the cask at The Westbourne. A nutty and doughy taste. Not much of a nose on it.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
My Bottom Line:
Green pears float atop this Brown Bitterís mild caramel malts, joining citrus fruit allusions into a smoothly mineral finish.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam tops the hazy amber.
-Malts also develop honey flavors.
-Light leafy hops appear in the end.
-This is very drinkable, yet not very memorable.
On cask at The Mitre, Cambridge.
