DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Aug 21, 2007 Clear deep tea-amber, thin off-white head. Nutty, woody caramel aroma. Mildly sweet toffee malt, nutty, pleasantly bitter finish. Very satisfying. EithCubes (2140), Indiana, USA Aug 17, 2007 Bottled as Suffolk Special Bitter. Funky light hoppy aroma. Malty and slightly nutty. Darkish murky brown/copper with a rocky tanned head. Dry, woody, nutty flavor. Lightish body, smooth and uncarbonated. Avg session, but a great beer for pizza! beerme420 (50), Corona, California, USA Jul 29, 2007 Light orange to brown color and cloudy. Little to no head. Hop finish makes this beer drinkable to a broader audience. Not too bitter...From Southwold England johndoughty (2150), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Jul 21, 2007 The arrogance of calling this’The bitter’ is quite surprising. It certainly isnt that good-in fact it is only slightly above average. Bitter with some maltiness that lingers for a while.Brownish appearance abd quite clear.Didn’t live up to its name. GG (1609), NorCal, California, USA Jul 17, 2007 NorCal tasting July 07 - I don’t know what happened to this beer. It had all the marks of a great beer until a drop hit your tongue and then it had this awful, tainted, bug spray character to it. Aroma was medium sweet, malty and touch earthy. Appearance was a rusty orange, smaller sized head. And as I said, the beer hits you and you think WTF! How could something this inviting be this bad? I will definitely want to try this again, because I refuse to believe that the beer can be this bad. raymondwave (867), Finland Jul 1, 2007 Malty, hoppy and nicely balanced. Very full of flavor. Very nice and harmonic. joe19612 (673), camberley, Surrey, England Jul 1, 2007 Bottle. Lovely colour with a pale brown colour, lovely malty aromas. Lovely finish. One of my favourites.
Tranquillity (1165), Espoo, Finland Jun 30, 2007 Bottle. Malty, sweet aroma. Red/brown colour, small white head. Taste like a normal bitter, some butter and floral notes. Medium finish.
