The light aroma was sweet caramel malts, some fruitiness and a whispery hint of hops. Healthy malt flavor with caramel and toffee. This sound flavor mix is quickly threatened by a rumbling of hop bitterness. The body is on the watery side. berkshirejohn (1802), Bracknell, Berkshire, England

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 9, 2006 Brilliant clear copper with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is quite floral, with some mandarin and candy too. Thinnish body and very light carbonation. Flavours are few, with EKG hops running the show, some nice crystal too. The finish is not very bitter, rounding off a decent one-dimensional ale. larsga (2959), Oslo, Norway
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 29, 2006 Huge offwhite head over chestnut brown body. Relatively light sweetish fruity aroma with notes of metal, wood, cinnamon, and pine needles. Taste is sweetish vinuous and somewhat watery with roasty wood and metal notes. It’s OK, but nothing very special. (0.5l bottle.) beerguy101 (3862), Newark, California, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 17, 2006 This beer pours a cloudy orangey color with a slight brownish tinge. The aroma has distinct brown sugar and vanilla smell with hints of hoppiness and mango. There is also a very small white head with a small amount of lacing. Initial taste is malty with a hint of bitterness and slightly overactive carbonation for about two seconds. Some hints of mango with a tingle of green beans. Dry bitter finish, but what did I expect from an english bitter. mabjork (580), Vasa, Finland
