Bottle. Awful. Drain pour. Watery, unbalanced, harsh. Didn’t seem off, just bad. I’m certainly in the minority here but beware, it may not be what you’re looking for.

(Bottle) Pours a clear amber with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, nuts, and some fruit. Flavor of malt, nuts, and hops with a bitter finish.

12 oz. bottle. The soft and sturdy hops on the nose actaully belie the entrance on the palate. As a short dry fruit flavour develops a salty hoppy richness overcomes the tongue. Can I really taste the sea air? Amazingliy refreshing. Thank God it’s sold in four packs rather than sixers.

Bottle--Dark amber to copper color with a medium to high, froathy head. The aroma and taste are both hoppy with a tight bitter finish.

Bottle. Copper-coloured with a big, creamy beige head. Caramel and citrus aroma. Good hop bitterness throughout on a caramel background. Short finish. Good carbonation, light-bodied.

Bottle 50 cl @ approx 12C. Best before May ’05 so a bit out of date. Didn’t seem too important. Brown reddish colour. Nice lasting head and fresh aroma of hops. Good carbonation. Not a long lasting hoppy aftertaste. Very drinkable.

Had one of these at my new favorite pub the Winking Lizard. The bottle date was on or before Sept 21 05, so the brew was not at it’s best. Nose of wheat, chicory, berries, heavy spice, vinegar, brown sugar, and dried fruit. Pours a medium murky red amber. What a head! Creamy, tight, tall and rocky. Fully lasting with very good lacing. The brew has a nice balance, leaning towards hoppy. A slight metallic taste hinders somewhat. The middle is warm, followed by a rewarding finish. The thick, creamy, and soft body is as rich as liquid bread.

A reddish brown color with a nice white head that tended to disappear quickly. "Bitter" is an apt name for this beer. It started good but didn’t have that hoppy aftertaste I like with others of this type. I was disappointed.
