| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 14, 2005 This is another one of those beers that i see in somerfield all the timne but say ill gte it some other time. Aroma is hoppy and fresh, cituis hops dominating. Taste is similar with a good character for a bottled bitter, dryish finish. Dough77 (773), Aurora, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 2, 2005 Pours out a clear copper color, mild head. Nose is of toffee, light malt and hop, with a bit of breadiness mixed in. Flavor is more on the bland side, but does bring out some nice notes of malt and barley. Drinkable, but not much more. bridge (659), Sydney, Australia
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 29, 2005 Poured murky red brown with a medium sized, but short lasting ivory white head. A strong fruity aroma, apricot I think, and a lot of hops - especially noticable on tasting. Some toffee is also evident in the aftertaste. It’s not very bitter to begin with, but if finishes dry and bitter. Slick palate with a medium body which seems a bit detached, probably due to it’s dryness. Overall it’s a good satisfying beer, but probably just a step behind the best of this style. theread (51), Wagga Wagga, Australia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 22, 2005 Too expensive in Wagga Wagga ( I have to drive 180 miles round trip to Albury to buy it) to give another go but I liked it. Had a malty taste and showed hop bitterness not found in mainstream Australian swill. Also had a nice colour to it, not the usual yellow urine look of VB and the like. Not bad at all. thehinge (244), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Sep 25, 2005 Hazey honey colored pour with a small off white head. Aroma is a little bready, yeasty. I don’t get a lot of bitterness out of this. Maybe I’m tainted by the IPA’s recently. I’m not a huge fan of the style....so I’m kind of neutral on this beer. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 22, 2005 50 cl bottle. Red orange colour with a rather small white head. Hints of hobs in the aroma. A smooth bitter taste, but very bitter after taste. beerbill (1941), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 21, 2005 Bottle. Pours a rich reddish amber witha frothy head that dissipates quickly. Not very aromatic. Some hop bitterness. Not very flavorful. Slightly dry finish. JMerritt (1315), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2005 Sampled at Brew Ha Ha 2005. Orange with a big, frothy head. Aroma of peat, straw, hay and peach blossoms. Rather grainy flavor (barley, wheat) intermixed with a decent amount of sweet cookie. Bittermess comes off as being herbally, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but doesn’t quite meld well with everything else going on here.
