| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 21, 2005 Bottle: Nice copper color with a small foamy head on top. Lively carbonated. First caramel and malt in the nose with some fruity nuances. Medium cherry and and malt taste at first followed by light to medium bitterness. Not as hoppy as expected, decent brew though. pivo (2535), Germany
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 20, 2005 Amber color, low frothy head. Creamy toasted malt with some raisiny fruit notes. Decent hop bitter, a little stale though. Some butterscotch in the middle. Medium body. No so exciting, but good. MrBunn (1525), Western, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 19, 2005 Dark amber color with big frothy head. Aroma is pleasant of tart apple (or something similar). Taste is intriguing... we’ll see if I can describe it. Malt up front that quickly gives way to a little bit of tangy fruit (that is not extremely strong) which then gives way to a nice bitter aftertaste that develops more as it goes. dornoy (680), Lyngby, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2005 Off white head on an amber body. Very easy to drink. A good session beer, I could go on drinking it in any Pub (I hope they have it on draught). It has fruitiness, malty taste in an almost perfect combination. So far my favourite English ale, but I still have to confirm this. jtw (942), farmington, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 16, 2005 excellently balanced beer. neutral amber color, malty and tangy aroma, with smooth (if a bit thin) maltiness and a dry ’english’ finish. so THIS is why bitters are called session beers.... | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 11, 2005 Nicely balanced aroma, cherry-apple fruitiness, crisp floral hops, subtle caramel malt. Gorgeous copper color, thick beige head. Smooth flavor, nice caramel-maltiness, fruitiness and hops are present but restrained, a bit watery, lingering hop bitterness in the finish. Medium body, very easy drinking. I usually find English beers don’t fare well on the journey to the USA, but this beer did quite well. One of the better ESBs I’ve had - great balance for a solid session brew. legion242 (1577), Richardson, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 11, 2005 Cloudy copper- pretty; off white head; aroma was similar to all others of the style- that mild tartness. An altogether satisfying session beer. More body then is usual for the style.
