Amber beer with little head. Rich aroma of apple, honey and malt. It has a sweet honey/malt immediate impression, but a more lasting dry hops flavour. As mentioned, very drinkable. If it had a little berry with the apple aroma, I could be seriously hooked.

Drunk straight out of the bottle. Gave it a 3 on appearance because it didnt look so bad when I looked in through the top of the bottle. Had ok bitter taste. 16 oz of this was about $3.50 Even 50 cents less and I would have said good for throwing back a couple pint bottles.

Clean, crisp and dry, cleans the palate. Not overpowering bitter for the end of the meal. Balanced with malt. Spot of fruit.

Tasted from the bottle a few months over expiration. In the Stein the beer rose out to meet me, the yeast settled onto it’s dense fluffy head like malt on a cappuccino. The body, a hazy light amber. Wonderful aroma of malt and hops, citric and floral with a hint of toffee malt and gritty grain. The taste was sweet and fruity with a pleasant bitterness in the back, and a full mouth feel that finishes off long bitter and sweet. The beer was well balanced and refreshing, and could be either savoured in winter or sessioned during the summer months. Quite tasty.

Pours a hazy copper color with a thin off-white head that says "byre" real quickly. Has an agreeable hoppy aroma that’s mainly herbal, perhaps a bit doughy. Solid malt flavors with perhaps a bit of smokiness and a good bitter rush at the end of each drink. Lingering bitter finish. Tasty stuff.

Bottle - 500ml. Nice amber body topped with an average off-white bubbly head. Pleasant malty/hoppy nose with various hints of herbs, flowers, citrus, and biscuit. The first stage of the mouthfeel is mild, but then it becomes bitter, and ends with a long and robust hoppy (Fuggle) finish. Some oaky and spicy notes are also detectable. Overall, this is a nice Bitter.

Hazy orange/amber coloured body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of english hops, citrus, caramel, tart fruit and malt. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong malt flavour with a hint of nuts and cardboard. A little edge near the end makes it not-so-great! Aftertaste bitter, but generally clean. Overall, not great, but worth it to try. I sampled this 16 ounce bottle purchased from Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York on 10-July-2004 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
