Pint bottle, nonick glass. Nutty and toast malt (M); earthy, herb hops (M). Argo0 hit the nail on the head by saying it smells like an autumn morning when the leaves on the ground are damp. Deep copper body with a tight, creamy, white head that is well lasting and leaves sheets of lace. Moderatley sweet, lightly acidic flavor becomes a moderately bitter, lightly acidic, dry finish. Medium body, watery/creamy texture, soft carbonation. The bottom line is: there's just nothing striking about the flavor and there's an odd filmy sensation left behind.

(on bottle)A pretty simple beer that turns to the sophisticated. Having this with a pizza wasen´t fair from the start, but the "Special bitter" had to be tested. No head and a beautifull dark amber color to start of with. A quite fruity aroma is kind of weak in the begining, but a few sips in and the bitter aftertaste really comes to life.

A frothy off white head tops a dark amber body. Nose is nutty, earthy, some sweetness. Full flavor, some sweetness. Decent.

Red/brown colour, creamy head, nice taste of roasted malt, good bitternes, some sharpness from the carbonation.

Bottled. Not too strong (despite the name), tasted 'burnt' to me.. quite unpleasent. Perhaps it was a bad bottle.. perhaps not. It's only a few days away from it's expiry date, and being a pasturised beer that won't help.

Pours red/gold with a soapy thin head. Sweet tame hop with roasty malted hints. Burnt sugar bitters, berries, herby. Mediciney, could be juniper. Toasty butter, some toffee, traces of salt. Finishes slightly citric.

Cask @ Buckeye Brewing 3-20-04. A very easy drinkin' ale with notes of apple, wood, and an underlying mild bitterness.
