Perhaps it was a bad bottle.. perhaps not. It's only a few days away from it's expiry date, and being a pasturised beer that won't help. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 23, 2006 Pours a light-hazed, coppery/brown with a creamy, cream-colored head. Mouthwateringly biscuit aroma with honey & rye, Fuggles, pepper and wooden notes. Flavor finds solid bitterness within a mid-bodied texture and a mouthfeel bordering on buttery. Malts add heartiness, but the focus remains on bitters with a peppery finish.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 4, 2005 Poured from the bottle. A beautiful clear brown with a nice frothy head. Aroma is a little disappointing, with only a sweet maltiness coming through. The flavour is both a hearty maltiness and hoppiness. A bit carbonated, but offset by a good bitterness that clings to the tongue. Beer2000 (1862), Kristiansand, Norway
