Light body and has a crisp carbonated mouthfeel, balanced malt and hop flavors, nice clean bitterness, finishes dry. Great session brew, very tasty and drinkable. nimbleprop (951), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 17, 2006 Poured a nice amber color from the bottle with rust and orange hues. An initially frothy head reduced to something thin and unnoticeable. Very slight fruity aroma with only a mild hoppy fragrance. The initial flavor is only lightly sweet with a lighter body than one might expect. The light, short finish is bitter and clean. This beer is very subtle and drinkable in quantity. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 16, 2005 excellently balanced beer. neutral amber color, malty and tangy aroma, with smooth (if a bit thin) maltiness and a dry ’english’ finish. so THIS is why bitters are called session beers.... topherh (943), Kearney, Missouri, USA

Compared to the nose, the taste is surprisingly slightly sweet (some floral and caramel). Malt and hops are blended quite nicely. Pleasant finish which is quite refreshing. Note to self: very cool bottle with "Adnams" molded into the glass. Interesting label application as well. kseecs16 (919), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 27, 2009 Bottle. Exceptionally floral, sweet fruity cloying aroma. Murky dirty red hued brown color. Very dry, maybe slightly astringent malt body with some floral hop notes in the finish that resonate. Remains dry and mildly bitter on the palate. Medium, foamy feel. Seems a little brash at first for a bitter but I found myself enjoying this. Crockett (904), Steelback County, Ontario, Canada

Burnt sugar bitters, berries, herby. Mediciney, could be juniper. Toasty butter, some toffee, traces of salt. Finishes slightly citric.
