A fine reddy appearance, well balanced, fresh and clean tasting. If you want a good session bitter for the night, this is ideal. TBone (6741), Pori, Finland

Dark copper color, small off-white head. Rusty, earthy aroma - not very good. Herbal-grassy flavor. Ok, a bit boring, but probably good to have with food.

Good amber gold looks with a creamy off white head. Good hoppage. Nice and sharp. Standard bitter elsewhere. dnas2 (650), Yelverton, Devon., Devon, England

Red-brown colour, quite a sweet scent, berries and a malty end to the nose. Quite thin. Bitter and very dry. Starts tasting quite watery but then lots of malts, a fruity hops on the end. Boring. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 6, 2009 Cask. Pours clear orange, 5mm head. Toffee, bisquit, malts, some faint grass or citrus hops, some funk. Flavour is fruity, rich, round toffee malt, slightly metallic, refreshing fruity hop end. Medium body, smoothly carbonated. Haloed russet wafting surprisingly with grassy herbal hop. Clean lingering bread and biscuity malts drying with assertive stinging dryness. Lovely softening choc, Nutella and bready notes. Notes mention Uerige; unexpectedly fine bittering hop and bready malt/yeast balance. Dabs of berry fruit, maybe cherry, bags of discreetly herbal English hop. Think I’ve been judging Adnams on their pasteurised bottled efforts, which is harsh. Eye-opener.
