Nothing dominates, everything works in harmony. The ultimate session beer: relaxed, refreshing, sociable. [3.2] Aug, 2003: As George Ale in George Inn, Southwark. Dark amber colour. Mostly sulphur in the nose. Medium bodied, some fruit, almost sharp, then a tangy finish. A decent ale - it’s Southwold Bitter that’s been kept too long under blanket pressure. [2.9]
Dec, 2004: Blackfriars, London.Nice, but slightly underperforming. London Xmas Crawl.[2.8]
March - Easter Monday - 2005: George Inn - George Ale, Southwark. Nicely hoppy and quite fresh and tidy. Tastes dry hopped - but the barmaid didn’t know. [3.1]
April, 2008 The Three Horseshoes, Cranleigh. A lighter malt version of Broadside with the hops more to the fore. Very nice. [3.3] hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
