Huge beige lasting head. Clear slightly hazy red body with strong carbonation. Dried fruit and wild berries aroma with herbal caramelly notes. Dry-sweet caramelly tofffee and strawberry taste with dried fruit and honey notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, faintly warm mouthfeel. Dry alcoholic peppery dried fruit aftertaste with spicy herbal yeasty banana notes. Nice, drinkable, and full of flavour. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly Vika, Oslo.)

0,75 l bottle from Vinmonopolet. Very dark brown, fluffy head. Sweet malt, velvety smooth. Not too strong character The label says a lot about a painter, not much about the beer

33 cl. bottle @ De Kelk. Drank in a La Corne horn, thx! to agreeing to this unusual request, I just wanted to try something in that glass. Dark brown amber, reasonably big, nice beige head. Light touch of iron in the nose, sweet caramel malts, dark sugar, tad sticky, dark fruits,… Taste is caramel, high on the Belgium sweetness side, brown sugar, sweet upfront, dark fruits, sweet caramel & yeast, dark fruit, quite a bit of syrup. M/m body – not too bad.

Thanks to blutt59 for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a red-amber color with an off-white head. The aroma is toffee with a little bit of tartness. I am not sure if the tartness is supposed to be in the beer or not, since I drank a sour beer prior to this. The flavor is toffee, dark fruit and Belgian yeast. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

330 ml stubby bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. ABV is 8.5%. Brown colour, huge beige head. High (too high) level of carbonation, even in the mouth. Fairly strong aroma, very much a "typical Belgian dubbel": notes of brown malts, caramel, brown kandij sugar and mild spices. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, but is not too sweet. The hops are very moderate, I’d like some more. Still a decent and drinkable beer as it is.
