Slightly honey-like aroma, some smoke too. Smooth palate - soft but pleasant carbonation. Sweet soft body, slightly honeyey, and with gentle smokiness.

Jul 9, 2008 Golden with a big, nice and creamy head. The aroma has weak notes of smoke, light flower and malt. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of flower, light citrus, light malt and it’s smooth and pleasant. I only find the smoke in the aroma.

Jul 6, 2008 Light lager aroma, you have to search for the smoke. You’d miss it if you didn’t know it was there. First taste I definitely tasted the smoke, but just a hint as described. It definitely makes this otherwise ordinary lager a little special.

Jun 27, 2008 Drank as part of my beer tour at Winking Lizard. It was decent. I did not detect the so-called "smokyness" from the commerical description. It was light, kind of wheaty and sweet flavored.

Jun 20, 2008 Bottle at Winking Lizard. This brew is a hazy yellow-gold color with a thin white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing. Aroma of malt, grass and smoke. Medium-bodied with a subtle smoked character, and flavors of bready malt and grassy hops. The finish is clean and sweet with a smoked malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Jun 18, 2008 Golden colored beneath a tight white head. Biscuit like doughy malt aroma. Crisp clean malt flavors with hints of smoke in the background and just a touch of lemony hops in the finish. Quite nice.

Jun 16, 2008 Updated: Jun 28, 2008(German) Bottle shared by the Knights. Pours a golden yellow with a sm-white head. There is a slight skunky aroma to this brew, but the taste is of smoked meat, with a dry finish. Not bad, but i don’t think i could drink a few of these back to back.

Jun 16, 2008 Another shared with the Dev-Knights. Pale gold pour with a white head. A light grain aroma with the smoked body kind of at the back end, not overpowering. Some complexities but overall refreshing and rather light, no real bitterness at all.
