Smells very doughy. Taste is standard helles lager with a side of smoke. The flavors don’t blend, you can easily pick them apart. Nice, easy drinker. Pwn3d (1054), Manhattan, New York, USA

I’m sure there is some smoked flavors, i just couldnt pick them up. stefanje (938), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 7, 2008 500 ml bottle courtesy of SoLan. Pours a translucent gold color witha big white head that had good retention. The aroma is light with semi-sweet malted grains and light smoke. The flavor is that of a good lager with with a light smoke accent. The mouthfeel is a bit on the light side but still very nice for a lager. The finish is short and dry. Overall: A very enjoyable smoked lager, and one that should pair well with a great deal of BBQ’d food. Thanks Solan. yespr (12020), Copenhagen O, Denmark

It was my first introduction to smoked beers, and this one just didnt do it for me. Its a strange taste to add to a beer. It poured a light yellow/orange, with no head and no sediment. Its aroma was defined mainly by the smoked characteristic. The flavor was very mild, not much flavor at all. Bit of a skunked flavor though. The palate was light, no body. jredmond (1029), New Jersey, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 1, 2008 Light golden in colour, thin white head, good retention, nice lacing. The aroma is lightly smoked, some sweetness from the malt, bread. The flavour is a bit smoky but nowhere near the other Aecht beers, quite sweet, pale malts, herbal and earthy. Sweet mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes lightly smoked, lingering sweetness.
Its nice, light but sometimes even lacking in smoke flavour. Quite soft at times, even some floralness.
