3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Great summertime beer. Still features the smoky palate one expects from the Schlenkerla beers, but this lighter amber version won’t drag you down. It is light alcohol and light body, but still big flavor. A great full character session beer for the summer.

Weicher, leicht röstiger Antrunk. Die typischen Rauchnoten sind mild, fast wässrig, sie werden auch mit der Zeit nicht intensiver. Herb wässrig, zum Ende milder, wenig getreidig. 11/9/10/9//9

No idea what this is supposed to actually taste like because the glass round stein I am drinking at 3 Floyds is definitely infected. Nice sour and tart cherry on the nose. Its a nice infection, no strong aceto on the nose. Flavor has not made it that far yet. Just a clean beer with a hint of sweet smoke and a zing at the end of the flavor. If his keg is a few months old, I guess the infection makes sense? I like it this way though. Looking over the other recent rates, other people are saying "cherry" and "leather" and I am pretty sure that is unintentional.
