Large fluffy off-white head. Aroma is campfire, wood, with some burnt malt and hops. Flavor isn’t as smokey as the aroma but definately there. Caramel malts, medium bodied. Smooth, very easy drinking. Good Smoked.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 6, 2010 Bottle 50 cl. Very special beer for the one who does not know much about this style ... The smell is very intensive as the smoked taste is less present. Good beer anyway, hops and yeast can not be detected. d07c0m (30), Ontario, Canada
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 3, 2010 Huge smoky aroma and taste. Cured meats is all I could think of. Like liquid ham. Very unique beer, second time tasting it and I find the second time more enjoyable as I believe it is fresher. DonBirnam (92), Wellington, New Zealand

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2009 Bottle thanks to matt7215. Thanks Matt! Pours an odd almost transparent dark brown. The head is small and tan. The aroma has smoke, but not a ton. The malt profile shows through in the aroma nicely. The flavor is very nicely balanced. Earth, sausage, hay, and chocolate. Very very nice. Thanks again Matt! Savvy1982 (331), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 31, 2009 Bottle. Thanks to hobbersr! Pours pale brown, almost cola brown, but thinner, lighter. Nose is mild but rich smoke, no hops, no fruit, no grain, just smoke. Not as hung-meat-like as other smoked beers I’ve had. Palate is balanced, between sweet and savory. Plenty of bacon and ham hock, plus campfire, dark fruit, and sweet malt. A very well-balanced Rauchbier, but maybe a touch watery. Sdaniel90 (21), Estado de México, Mexico

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a creamy beige head. Huge gorgeous campfire smoke. Cleanest most pure smoke I’ve smelled on a beer. Smooth, creamy, and malty with a nice smoke coming through over light caramel. Finishes up with even more gorgeous smoke that lingers around. The smoke in here is amazing. Doesn’t overpower, but it’s always present and infuses all aspects of the beer. planky84 (154), , Greater London, England
