Bottle from the local. Dark brown pour with thick off white head. Nice smoke pit malt aroma. Thin to medium body. Clean and crisp. Smoke is excellent. Reminds me of a pig roast, mmmmm

Appearance- very dark, ruby tinge when held up to the light, murky, one finger foamy white head. Aroma- big smokiness, bit of roasted malt, burnt treacle, brown sugar, smoked meats, bacon particularly. Taste- loads of smokiness in this- burnt meat, bacon, hot dogs, malty, bitter malts, medium mouthfeel, fairly short finish which is reminiscent of eating barbecued food. Unique and pretty tasty.

Quire nice dark color, with tan medium to low head. The arome is quite smokey. The taste is a quite sweet, with just maybe a bit sourness. The palate is quite soft, well balanced, think to oily and soft carbonation, almost flat. Quite good beer, even though not exactly y type.

Great smoke, toast aroma. Appearance is garnet brown with a white head with avg head retention. Flavor is somewhat sweet with complementary smoke notes which help to dry it out. Hops bitterness is low. Toasted bread malt flavor. Light body with medium carbonation. Overall, it’s a great smoke beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Perfect amount of smoke for me. Fits very well with the base style, but I would like a but more body. The smoke will still dry the beer out in the end. Also seems way to dark for the style and body ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very dark red on the eye, strong white head. Very distinct smoke aroma with some hoppy notes. Very smoky yet also pleasant taste, sweet with some bitter and herbal notes- also hops. Hoppy bitter finish with lingering smoky notes.

Tried it in Greek beer bar. The aroma consists of something like bacon and cigar, the taste is SMOKED as hell, like you just ate some smoked meat. I wouldn’t drink it every day but smoked beers are definitely worth brewing and this one is very good!

Drink cold (8-10°) Eye: pours a clear reddish-brown colour with small beige to brown head. small regular bubbles. nice carbonation. Nose: smoke, peat, cigar, smoked bacon (Räucherspeck), strong malts Mouth: peated smoke, cigar, leaves, hay, smoked bacon (Räucherspeck), strong earthy malts, dark chocolate, coffee, burned vegetables (zucchetti perhaps), slightly sweet. Palate: smoke remains, strong earthy (nature) malts, coriander, bitter finish Overall: very good and complex strong beer (concerning the taste, not the alcohol), a bit too heavy and one sided though. reminds my somehow of a peated whisky (from Islay perhaps). I really like it, but is not at all an every day beer.

Dark body, thin, tan head. Very smoky aroma, can’t get much else in it. Maybe a bit of malt in the background. Similarly, the taste is smoky, just like firewood. If you try to close it out, it’s almost like a stout in the beginning. Some bitterness in the end. Mouthfeel is smooth, minimal carbonation, very pleasant. I am a big fan of smoky flavours so this one hits the homerun for me. Very nice.

I didn’t get this beer at all. It was so strongly smoked that I couldn’t drink it. Not my thing.
