Bottle into a pint glass. The aroma is all campfire smoke and smoked salty meats. The flavor is sweet and malty. The smoke isn’t as forward in the flavor - it reminds of salty smoked fish. The exhale is mild tobacco smoke from a nice smooth cigar.

Brown with a nice off white head. Aroma is smoked fish (the smoke part not the fish), and caramel malt. Taste is sweet with just enough bitterness to balance it out. Very smooth palate, low carbonation, dry finish. Strange beer, but very good.

Copper with a lasting off-white head. Wooden smoke, with bacon notes, and a good caramel maltiness. Sweet and very malty flavour with a very pleasant smoke character, that just lasts

bottle shared and courtesy of my sister Linds- a super light bodied, very drinkable smoke beer- enjoyed this thoroughly. The sweetness of the malt complements and backs up the substantial smokyness enough to make you want another sip.

Cask Stillage at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 06/08/2009 Big smoked aroma. White head. Dark coloured strong in alcohol and a little rich on the palate with a crisp and slightly dry smoky malt finish.

Bottle. Dark brown-reddish, clear liquid. Aroma is filled with peat, smoked ham and malt. Flavour is round and rich with some sweetness from the malt, and apparent but sublime notes of tar and peat. Some slightly burnt notes as well. Quite drinkable, not at all extreme beer, but a really nice one.

500 mL bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a dark brown color with a moderate brown head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is very smoky with notes of salty bacon, smoked wood and faint earthy caramel. Taste is thankfully not as smoky. Smoke up front and in the finish with subtle meaty notes. In the middle is caramel and other malty notes. Medium bodied.
