The flavor is sweet and malty. The smoke isn’t as forward in the flavor - it reminds of salty smoked fish. The exhale is mild tobacco smoke from a nice smooth cigar.

Aroma is smoked fish (the smoke part not the fish), and caramel malt. Taste is sweet with just enough bitterness to balance it out. Very smooth palate, low carbonation, dry finish. Strange beer, but very good. ChristianScheffel (4481), Odense, Denmark

The sweetness of the malt complements and backs up the substantial smokyness enough to make you want another sip. Nisse666 (384), Göteborg, Sweden

Big smoked aroma. White head. Dark coloured strong in alcohol and a little rich on the palate with a crisp and slightly dry smoky malt finish. deflagro (28), Lund, Sweden
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown-reddish, clear liquid. Aroma is filled with peat, smoked ham and malt. Flavour is round and rich with some sweetness from the malt, and apparent but sublime notes of tar and peat. Some slightly burnt notes as well. Quite drinkable, not at all extreme beer, but a really nice one. dkachur (2347), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
