| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 28, 2007 Pours a dark brown color with a small, tan head. Big smoked aroma, with more smoked meat than the brewery’s other offerings. Starts out a touch sweet, the smoked malts are very pronounced in this bock. Smoked, spiced meat is the name of the game here. Slightly bitter, dry finish. Best of the bunch. downender (2578), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England

Tried again from the bottle 5/11/07. This time the smokiness was a lot more pronounced, to the point of becoming dominant. Less enjoyable, although still very good. 3.9 cookster101 (4), Enfield, England does not count | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Aug 1, 2007 My first smoked beer and it’s like breakfast in a glass. Smooth smokiness dominates the flavour on a very malty dackdrop. Can’t wait to try this with grilled meats this summer. Lovely and very, very special. Quack-Duck (3167), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany
