Bottle thanks to stoutlover72. Poured a dark brown body with decent size head. Aroma was of pork - Canadian Bacon, Ham, Bacon, Maple Ham - you get the idea. Flavor was sweet with the above aromas thrown in. Felt like I was drinking a meal.

16.9oz/500ml bottle-pours a big foamy tan head that laces and dark red color. Aroma is lots of smoke, medium malt. Taste is lots of smoke, medium malt. Interesting once. Ok carbonation.

Pours to a luminous burnt orange-red. Aroma of maple smoked canadian bacon or sweet hickory barbecue sauce. The charred brisket flavor is foremost but not belligerent, lying beneath subtleties of oak, anise, and even some crisp citrus. A little touch of metallics finish the full-bodied palate with a tiny pang of unpleasantry.

Pours deep dark brown with a hugh foamy head. Smokey Smokey. It’s like drinking a sausage. I bet this would be great with ribs!

dark pour w/ light red hints in it and a huge fluffy almost soapy light tan head w/ some sticky lacing. A lightly sour aroma w/ hints of lactose and a very big smoky burnt wood aroma, a bit over the top on smoke for me. Palate is full well coated and lightly creamy. Flavor is overly smoked for me definate burnt wood some light chocolates hints of tobacco. I don’t like it.

Mahagony color with nice tan head. Awesome aroma of tar, smoke. wood and sweet malt. Sweetish flavor with lots of tar, smoke, munchener malt and some caramel. Long, bittersweet, woody and smoky finish. Assertive smokiness, excellent!

looks like a dopplebock but a little darker. can’t see all the way through it. so meaty is the aroma, i almost feel like i’m abandoning my 17 years of vegetarianism. pure bacon and smoked meat. does not smell appetizing. pretty carbonated. initially there’s a strong malty flavor but it quickly gives way to a firm charred taste. definitely tastes better than it smelled. surprisingly, there is actually beer character in there. i’ll never buy it again, but i will finish this glass, certainly. bitter, tacky hops characterize the finish.
