More malty finish, which goes great together with the heavy smoke. A fantastic brew. I want to taste this from oak cask! fuchebu (146), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

Nice dark bock color and lasting head. The malt is sweet, but well balanced by the smoke. Very gooey. willblake (2191), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Nothing subtle or complex about the aroma, it's like beer bacon. Seriously, it reminds me of a smokehouse I used to visit in upstate NY. The smoke lingers on the tongue and coats the mouth but is not at all unwelcomed. Really a treat. There is a certain dry sweetness that pervades the thick palate, reminds of cured pork fat and dark/bitter chocolate. An excellent occasional beer and one that I can bust out a big ol' stein for (unfortunately I don't really know what it looks like thanks to the stein, but I'll assume is looks great beneath that massive frothy tan head).
