Pours a dark mahogany, long lasting head. By far the most disgusting beer I have ever tasted. I would drink any shit beer thrown at me before I could ever drink this again. The aroma alone made me gag, it smelled like the bottom of my charcoal grill and not in a good way, right then I knew I was in for it. I tookd one sip and immediately ran to the sink and started gagging, did not puke but close, then poured the whole thing out. This is and hopefully will be the lowest rating I ever give, I can’t believe anybody would like this.

does not count  Jul 25, 2008 25.11.2008, 0,5l bottle. Dark amber brown. hazy. The beer smells like a woodfire, but the taste is not as smokie. I think the body is a little thin. I like the sour and fresh taste of this beer.

Pronounced smoke aroma, yet the wheat beer mouth feel makes it lifhter gand more quaffable A novelty, perhaps, but this was a fine beer,
This would be lovely with smoked meat - or perhaps with pan-fried mackerel? Certainly a beer that can cope with strong flavoured food. I’ll try a few bottles with Norwegian Christmas food when time comes.
A very welcome addition to the Norwegian beer scene.
Finn (1050), Tromsø, Norway
Jul 22, 2008 Bottle 0,5l. Hazy. Brown colored with a creamy lasting head. Pleasant aroma of tar and smoke. Varied flavor in the same direction, but the wheat makes the rauchbier character more rounded than its märzen relative. Some bitterness in the finish. Lots of sediments. KI=7

Jul 22, 2008 500 ml bottle. A foggy amber beer with a stable, lightly tanned head. Smells like tar on old wood, wet cordage, beef stock and smoked banana, quite nice actually. Taste has an ashy wheat character, making its way trough flavors of sour malts, smoked berries and acidulous bacon. Sugar-sweet, light sour, light bitter ending. Beyond interesting.

Jul 18, 2008 Smoked beef aroma. This is a full-bodied beer with a medium-full head. The flavor is that of a smoked beef stick, with a yeasty base.
