COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Clear and light brown in color which goes into amber. Spicy fragrance with hints of cedar. Rich and round fruit on the taste combined with a dry and bitter finish. Best enjoyed with food.

Hazy red/brown, faboulous rocky had and fine lacing. Fruity aroma, sweet malt, red berries and some light sourness. Very well balanced and moreish beer, I’d love to have this fresh on tap. Their best so far (except the IPA)

500 ml bottle bought at Fenaknoken, Oslo. A thick, stable two-finger offwhite head rising from a foggy, red colored, copper shaded body. A crisp fruitiness up front; orange zest and red berries comes to mind. Followed by a whiff of dry malts and grassy/earthy hops. Taste is more fruity than malty. Citrus and berries again, with a light acidic twist. Subdued dryish malts in the background. Fruity, grassy and light resinous hops in the backbone. Lively mouthfeel, light to medium body. Crisp hoppy finish. Well-crafted and utterly refreshing. Top notch Norwegian Lager.

Tap@Brewery. Dark bronze beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly hopped and quite bitter, and the flavour is well hopped and quite bitter with a very dry roasted finish. Overall a nice very well hopped and roasted bitter beer.

On tap at the brewpub. It’s an orange-red to copper beer, clear, with a finger-thick off-white to beige head. Fruity nose with caramel sweetness in the back, and some peach and citrusy hops. The flavor is a nice blend of caramel sweetness and citrusy hops, with citruspeel and grapefruit. Medium body, smooth and nicely carbonated. Some apricot in the finish. A very refreshing, quenching and balanced beer. (090528)

This is the second beer I had at Furukroa Flam Tourist Center which was next door to the Aegir Brewery and closed till later in the day. It was another hit. Poured with a little off-white head and little lace. Color was a dark, clear amber. Aroma was a bit roasty and hoppy with some caramel. Flavor’s the same with a nice balance of roasty malt to caramel sweetness to hop bitterness. Body was just a hair thin and carbonation was just a little off. Very drinkable beer overall. Nice finish.
