COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger, served in correct Ægir glass. Also available bottled. ABV is 4.7%. Deep amber colour, moderate off-white head, leaving a nice lacing. Nutty and toffee aroma, also notes of red berries, hints of butterscotch. The flavour is fairly dry (much drier than a dunkel) and nutty, with decent (German?) hops.

50cl bottle at Olympen. It poured an amber red and cloudy colour with a big white creamy head. The aroma is fresh and malty. Flavour is sweet and also malty. It was served too cold, but in 30 C it was very nice. It has a short aftertaste.

Bottle (50cl) from Meny (Grønland), Oslo. BB 26.4.2012. Two-inch off-white head, fairly stable, coarse bubbles, good lacing. Hazy reddish orange colour. Fruity (apricot?) caramel malt aroma. Light-to-medium bodied, lively carbonation gives a nice ’filling’ mouthfeel. Well-balanced with a good, lasting hop bitterness. Thoroughly drinkable.

On tap at Cask Pub & Kitchens Norwegian Beer Festival. Clear amber beer, not much of a head. Crispish palate but it turns much softer and creamier. Minerals and super mild hop finish things up. Decent but very much like the Raller but without the apple.

Bottle @ Laundromat. Golden hazy with a reddish hue. Aroma of malts and citrus. Taste has some sweetness and the citrus. Some bitterness from hops. Not the best Ægir, but the glass is awsome

500 ml bottle. BBE 25.4.2012.
Pours a hazy orange colour with a large white head with good retention. Aroma of grainy malts, hops, honey and vegetables. Flavour of bready malts, grains, nuts, grass, dried fruits, mild hops and honey. Light bodied with a thick mouthfeel and a dry nutty and slightly fruity finish. Not bad.
