Draught. Clear reddish amber color with a big off-white head that quickly settles. The nose is very fruity, loads of red apple, sweet malts, orchard fruity notes. The taste is quite sweet and simple, malt-focussed. The palate is light, but quite creamy. The carbonation’s quite soft. Overall, a really nice, orchard lager. Simple, tasty.

7th November 2011 On tap at Cask Pub & Kitchens Norwegian Beer Festival. Clear amber beer, not much of a head. Crispish palate but it turns much softer and creamier. Minerals and super mild hop finish things up. Decent but very much like the Raller but without the apple.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 stunetii (90) - Bergen, NORWAY, NORWAY - AUG 14, 2011
Bottle and tap. Pours with a relatively transparent amber color, culminating in a medium-sized, well-retained light tan head. The lacing is sticky and fairly tight. The nose is mostly malts with hints of citrus. The taste is malty and sweet, with a transition to a lightly hoppy bitterness in the finish. Certainly not the best from Ægir, but it’s worth a try and I’d probably try it again.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 17, 2011
Cask @ Grünerløkka Brygghus. Pours a clear copper-reddish body with a small lasting off-white head. Aroma is kinda pale maltish, grainy and notes of some thin bitter caramel. Lively to average carbonation, oily to watery on the palate and light to medium-bodied. Tastes light maltish, notes of some hops in the background, hints of thin caramel, nuts and something that can remind me of wood. Really drinkable, but perhaps for me a bit boring.
