500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Ølen. ABV is 6.0%. Deep golden colour, large to moderate white head. Sweetish and slightly spicy aroma, notes of Belgian ale yeast, hints of grassy hops. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is spicy but not too sweet, with decent hops throughout. Might well buy again.

Bottle pours clear golden liquid with a frothy white head that leaves the glass a little too fast. Aroma is of caramel and banana. Taste is light sweet towards dry in the beginning and is quickly left behind by a medium bitterness. This ale has good carbonation but an abrupt finish, a little too abrupt to give this beer a better score.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Light body, smooth, but there is a Belgian (yeast) twist that lifts the breer, adding a more complex edge. Peaches, malt, nice sour/dry feel in the back. very pleasant. Dry mouth feel. Duvel-like.

Brown 50cl bottle abv6%, blonde head, blonde-amber body, clear, some lacings. Grass, barn, grains, pale malts, oranges, yeast n mild hops to the nose. Tastes fruity grainy malts, fresh hops, dark toffee, dark bread, herbs. Pearls well on palate, suitable carbonation, fine balance. Finishes through an alley of malts, stamwort, bread boxes, waving hops...good beer! The butterscotch didn’t show up as in czech svetly, but the dark toffee made the top of the taste anyway! B@Vinmonopolet, shared with my wife at home.

Flaske 0,5 l fra Vinmonopolet Jekta, Tromsø. Lys gyldenbrun. Høyt luftig skum som varer. OK lacing. God krydderaroma. Antydning til frukt. Smaken er litt mandler. Søt. Svakt syrlig ettersmak.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell during the Gunnar Tasting - London. Thanks to Gunnar for this one. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose is pale bread and faint orange. Light sweet flavor with simplistic bready malts, lemon rind. Light bodied with average carbonation. Good balance on the finish with drying citrus, more pale bread. One-dimensional but very drinkable.

Sampled from a 0.5l bottle @ Haandfest 2013. A near clear golden beer with a heavy lacing and sidesticking white top. The nose is quite nice. A good sweetness with honey, earthy hops, light citrus and some yeast. Gently carbonated and the mouthfeel is oily. This is how Boyle should taste. Malty biscuits, fresh grassy hops and some nice caramel towards the finish. A citrus taste in the finish that reminds me of fruity zest. Not bad at all. A nice big brother and definitely more exciting than the rather boring younger brother. 25.05.2013
