Draught, 250ml glass on a sample tray at Cardinal in Stavanger. A shiny black surface to a jet black body. Dotted spots on the glass. Dark malty aroma, subdued chocolate notes. Taste of chocolate malts joined by black coffee notes and followed by a mild and lingering chili taste towards the ending. Fine bodied. Likable sipper, not overdone in anyway (20.06.2015).

Black in colour. Coffee in aroma. Slightly sour taste, with heavy chili aftertaste. Perhaps slightly short taste. First brew was more complex and in harmony, and had thicker mouthfeel. Still not bad :-)

On tap @ Cardinal, Stavanger. Pitch black body, medium creamy off-white head. Nose is licorice, dark chocolate, coffee and hints of chili and bready caramel. Taste is dark chocolate, chili, coffee and hints of caramel in the back. Full body, medium carbonation. Nice and smooth, with just enough chili to make the little interesting burn.

Poured a healthy dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of sweet milk chocolatey malt and the chili. Medium to full body, flavour as the aroma, the chili is well balanced and doesn’t overpower. It does linger for a long time however.....
