3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beer3000 (3727) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 19, 2013
500 ml bottle. Hazy golden body with a moderate sized off-white head. Aroma is very nice and refreshing with citric fruit, a hint of pine and some mild caramel malt in the background. Flavor is weaker, mild citric fruit, light malt, not much bitterness. Thin body and moderate aftertaste with citric fruit. As a conclusion the best part of this beer is the aroma, it’s very refreshing but a bit disappointing in flavor, even considering this is only 4% alcohol. Still a great lawnmower beer.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Sigmund (4187) - Tau, NORWAY - MAY 9, 2013
500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4%. Deep golden to amber colour, large white head. Strong aroma of American hops, citrus and pine notes. Light to thin body, dry flavour, some grapefruity and piney notes, medium bitter finish. An okay summer refreshment, but clearly not Ægir’s best beer.

From bottle. Cloudy, amber colour. Heavy hops flavours, not really backed up by the body of the ale. Somewhat too much bitterness.

Bottle. It’s a hazy, dark golden beer with a small, off-white head. It has a pretty awesome aroma, with lots of citrus and green pine cones trying to hide the pale malts. The flavor is sort of disappointing, too low on maltiness and also too low on the hoppy flavors. The main problem though is the body. It’s very thin, even considering it’s weighing in at only 4 percent alcohol. Good thing is it’s very refreshing and easy drinkable. Not my kind of beer, but maybe it will go well with some lawn mowing. 130412
3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TyggaBrown (256) - NORWAY - APR 12, 2013
Fantastic aroma of citrus, with hints of orange and oregano (?). Nicely carbonated, but way too thin to make me satisfied. Tastes bitter, but the bitterness fades too quickly.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Smaskifa (111) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 12, 2013
Tap at Haandverkerstuene, Oslo. Hazy yellow with a minimal white head. Aroma: Citrus, fruity, a hint of sulfur and egg. The body is surprisingly nice for such a lightweight beer, nicely carbonated, but it did fade a little after a while in the glass. The taste is fresh, some fruity and citrus notes, hints of dark honey and a lightly roasted touch. The aftertaste has a light bitterness and feel of dandelion leaves. Fruity on the burp. Overall this would be very good for a hot summer day.
