On tap @ Ægir Brewpub. Quite dark in here, but this has a soft blurry deep golden body with a small lasting and lacing off-white head. A bit mild on the nose, but it is probably served a bit to cold. Mild grassy peach like sweetness with a faint English style hop-bitterness. Mild but nice enough. It has a mild hoppy taste as well. Still probably a tad to cold but I cant wait anymore. THIRSTY! Really lightdrinkable this. More like an English style oriented APA in the taste as well. 14.09.2012

In short: An bland, under-hopped, honeyed and lightly grapefruity blond pale ale. Meh
How: Tap at brewpub in Flåm, Norway
The look: Clear blond body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose is low-medium hoppy with a hop character that has some grapefruits, dry grass and mangos. Taste has fresh hay, honeyed cereals, freshly cut grass, grapefruits, mangos. Sharp and very short bitterness of low intensity, a bitterness that lacks character, it just abruptly cuts the finish of the beer with dry citric flavor that lasts 0.1 sec followed by a sticky honey comeback. Nothing offensive in this beer, this is very clean and drinkable, but it is also very uneventful. Quite boring actually. For a North-American like me the name of this beer is so hard to pronounce that it is almost impossible to not look like a crazy person when saying Gjallarhorn out loud in a pub while wearing a pink tutu and swinging an axe.

At the brewpub in Flam: Pours an orange colour with a white head. Aroma is light pine with some earth. Taste much the same. As the other reviewers have noted, this is a little bit underwhelming. Yet, it is not bad.
