Bottle at some place i forgot to add to my notes. Amber color with a massive top. Good caramel blend, though I feel there’s some metal in the taste. The hops are hiding somewhere, but turns up in the middle of the glass. Decent, but nothing I’d go hunting for.

Big offwhite lasting head. Hazy amber body with vigourous carbonation. Earthy floral resiny aroma with fruity citric notes. Dry-sweet resiny floral fruity taste with earthy citric notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry resiny floral citric aftertaste with peachy notes lasts a long time. Lovely! Great harmony, depth, and drinkability. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly.)

On tap at Cardinal. Red amber with an enormous and growing foam, which is also very stable. Grassy and citrussy hoppiness, quite refreshing. Very good.

500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Bestillingsutvalget. Dense, off-white head with fine duration and fragile lacing. About clear, gold-amber body. With sediment in the last pour. Aromatic with rounded dry hops. Sherbet hops in flavour with the support of smooth and sappy oranges. Gentle bittersweet tail. Easy to quaff. Refreshing and, in fact, relaxing (Tromsø, 23.10.2010).

Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet. Gyldenbrunt med et høyt, luftig skum. En god krydret & fruktig aroma. Smaken er søt & fruktig. Litt høy. Litt syrlig. Et friskt øl.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. It’s been a while since I’ve had anything new from Ægir, so I’m looking forward to this one - particularly since autumn is here. Leaves are falling, rain is pouring down, darkness is settling in the evenings. What, then, could then be more appropriate than a Harvest Ale? :-) Pours a hazy light nut brown body with a big, foamy off-white top that leaves laces along the sides of my tall Ægir glass. Aroma is bread, sweet pale malts and grassy hops with hints of wet leaves and earth. Taste is surprisingly similar to the aromas; what you smell is what you get. Bready, doughy flavors rumble around with a decent amount of hops, both grassy and slightly piney. Mellow maltiness makes for a full body; this is no quaffer bit still pretty easy-going. Some bitter resin in the aftertaste but not quite on IPA level; American pale ale is a well-placed definition. Comfortable, and a well suited seasonal. Sturdy and professional, just as I’ve come to know and like from Ægir. Sure, it could be wilder or more experimental, but it has taste enough and you have to admire the consistently solid brewing craft that comes out of Flåm. Nice job, Evan & Co.

A Mes rate. Bottle thanks to the Cad.
Clean pale amber with a thin white head. Nice spicy hoppy stuff. Good prickly mouthfeel. Lots of clear American hoppage all round. Nice and dry. Clean and chuggable. Maybe a slight hint of card but it’s not spoiling anything. Nothing outlandish, no world beater but hey, it’s a really pleasant drink.

Bottle at Håndverkerstuene. Dark amber colour with a small white foamy head. Nice, fresh and hoppy aroma, but not very bitter. Flavour is bitter, but only for a short while. Notes of dough, hops, fruits and grains. Short aftertaste.
