3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 abemorsten (1315) - Randaberg, - NOV 13, 2009
Tap at Nærbø Ølmesse and Cardinal. Rated at Cardinal 11.11.09 where it was served a bit too cold. Pours clear golden with an off white head that lasts. Toasted caramel malts on the nose (remember the aroma as more dry hopped at Nærbø). Moderately sweet and bitter in the mouth with an averagely lasting finish. Medium bodied with a syrupy texture and soft carbonation. Well balanced and a joy to drink! Ægir has had a lot of positive feedback on this one, and thankfully they’ve promised a bigger release of this excellent brew next autumn.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 haakonjo (17) - - MAY 11, 2012
Hazy amber colour. Nice offwhite head. Aroma is predominantly malty sweet. Some pine and hops, but surprisingly malty. Some fruit, caramel and a slightly bitter finish. Wouldn’t call it an American Pale Ale. It’s more british.

Lots of hops shine through, slight sweetness as well. Aroma is mostly hops, some yeast as well I think (fluorine). Colour is a hazy dark amber or copper, head is off-white. (Bottle)
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Skinnyviking (5707) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 3, 2011
Courtesy of the Norwegian witch doctor Rune. Bless him. Low fluffy and quickly disappearing head. Not really clear, but almost, amber body. Lovely aroma of apple pear apricot and lime with a sweet hint. Flavor is also fruit dominated with a mild and yet pleasant hops bitterness. Low carbonation, long aftertaste. Alchol level seems just right. Very well balance and definately a pleasant surprise.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 berlinoise2go (377) - NORWAY - OCT 15, 2011
Bottle (50cl) from Vinmonopolet (Vika), Oslo. Medium-sized offwhite head, good retention, settling as a thick film with ’bubble islands’ - quite good-looking. Colour is slightly hazy amber. Aroma of hops, pine, caramel, flowers, soap. Medium body, soft carbonation. Taste is well-balanced with a powerful bitterness, discreet sweetness, and fairly astringent finish. Very nice, although the floral aspect is verging on being too dominant.
