4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
7th November 2011
On tap at Cask Pub & Kitchens Norwegian Beer Festival. Very light haze on this gold beer. Decent off white head. Soft palate with mild and fine carbonation providing a bit off a sting. Very creamy sweet malt, luxurious feeling. Nice hops! Sweet pine with a hint of tropical fruits and tangerine and marmalade. Finishes soft and semi dry with more tangerine and orange coming through. Mild marmalade bitterness in the aftertaste. Something of a surprise - a bit of a belter!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Keg at CP&K. It pours clear orange, with a thick white head. The nose is hay, orange, tangerine, kumquat, ginger and white bread. The taste is clean, orange, mango, tangerine, kumquat, cardboard, pine and ginger, with a solid bitter finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. A very clean and tasty IPA.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very bitter taste and long lasting finish. Generous hops both in aroma and on the palate, a well accomplished brew! Colour is copper and head is off-white. (tap)

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Hazy golden, mid-sized head. Pleasant tropical fruit hop aroma. Lychee and tangerine over a sold well rounded body. Mid sweet with lots of aromatic hop and some red berries. Balanced bitterness. Great IPA, in a completely different league than their Amber Ale

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Sligthly hazy yellow-orange color with a medium sized head - not much lacing. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, cookies, orange zest and apricot. Flavour of cookies, grapefruit, citrus and apricot. Mediumbodied, average carbonation. Don’t know how fresh this was, but it’s an average IPA - nothing special.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 28, 2012 Tap @ Håndverkerstuene, Oslo . Pours cloudy amber with a creamy big off white head leaving lacing. Aroma is sweet, fruity, citric, piny, spicy and malty. Flavor is bitter tart, pungeant, sourish, slightly sweet and also phenolic, dry, not quite in balance. Finishes dry and bitter. Great IPA but a bit too dry to my taste.
