50 cl brown bottle, abv 4.7. Pours a good toffee-white head on the dark amber hazy body, leaving some lacings inside the mug and a durable layer on the body. Scents of roasted malts, fir tree, grapefruit, hops, herbs, wet wool. Tastes hops, smoked malts, pine needle, herbs, syrup. Mouthfeel slightly mealy, well balanced, herby, and underlying bitterness. Ending bitter malts, smoked herbs, and dry feel at last. Overall tasty, good along with dinners, and if You’ve chosen turkey for Christmas dinner, this beer will go very well to it. Merry Beermas ho ho ho!

4.7% fresh bottled today! A cloudy honey amber pour. Great spicy aroma, gingerbread, coriander, cinnamon... Delicious! Great after going up to the waterfall, with sheep going "beer" behind me. First the ducks want my beer & now the sheep! The taste is malty sweet with juniper, cinnamon & other spices. Really nicely balanced with the spices not being cloying or overpowering. Very nice stuff!

Cunningham (5941) - Halden, NORWAY - MAR 5, 2013

Appearance: Hazy red amber color with a frothy tan head that leaves a fine lacing.
Aroma: Mild malty and a bit spicy.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and a mild bitterness. Creamy carbonation.
Taste: Caramel malty, cinnamon and cardamom.
Overall impression: This shows that it is possible to make a tasty and nice beer even at the stupid Norwegian 4,7% rule for being sold in a grocery store.
Personal stats: Bottle from Meny Begby in Fredrikstad, Norway.
