Pours hazy mahogany into a snifter. White head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Toffee and orange zest aromas. Thin with upfront juniper turning to bitter roots in the lasting finish

Bottle @ Odense Smagning, Feb. 2011. Pours cloudy amber with a creamy lasting head and lacings. Nose is yeast, bread and chocolate. Flavor adds a bit of spice. Medium and smooth body. Good . .

50 cl bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy dark brown color, fine beige head. Aroma is malty and fruity with a hint of sourness. Flavor is sweet and malty, caramel and dried fruit.

08 bottle. Pours a murky dark brown with a fluffy tan head, some lacing. Aroma is dark fruity, prunes, nuts, caramel, some spicy notes, a bit tangy. Perhaps a bit oxidized. It’s a wee bit metallic in the finish, otherwise a full flavoured, medium bodied, pleasant ale.

50 cl bottle at Patricks, batch 117JGB-B. Best before 2011-01-15. It poured a black colour with a medium big off-white creamy head that settled down fast in the glass. Aroma is sweet with notes of malts, yeast and plums. Some hints of pine and chestnuts as well. The flavour is slightly bitter, but in a pine-way, not loaded with hops. Notes of malts, pine, chestnuts and medium dark caramel. it has a short aftertaste.

Pours copper color with a medium head. Aroma of caramel malts, toffee, some ripe fruits and spices. Flavor of caramel malts, bread, biscuit notes, ripe fruits and toffee. Nice.

Amber with huge off white head - very nice malty taste olso with nice bitterness that continues into the finish - good beer

Bottle from 2010. Pours deep amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel and dried fruits with some spices. Fruity and sweet with some bitterness. Decent Christmas beer.

Pours a sizeable off-white, dense head. As the beer settles in the glass I get a nice, deep-brown, clear hue. Looks good. Palate is very smooth and comfortable. Aroma of raisins, dark malts and brown sugar. Initially sweet, with a nice hoppy bitterness piercing through towards the end. Very drinkable and a nice Xmas brew.

Bottle, 50cl, at Olympen,Oslo. Dark maroon colour, moderate head. Fairly closed aroma of malt and dark berries. Rich sweet, malty taste with forest fruits and pine. Decent bitterness.
