bottle thanks to Rune and Finn. Thanks guys. Bottle drunk at home whilst waiting for some rice to boil to go with my thai red curry after a mixed day at work. Both unbelievably depressed and also so happy I will meet all my targets for the year by the first week of December. Deep brown red colour with lasting bubbly beige head. Slightly smoked aroma. More smoke and peat in the mouth. Blimey that’s quite juicy in the malts as well as some peaty smoke. Interesting beer. Some good juicy hedgerow fruits from the malts. A little prickle on the finish. But also some sweetness. Pretty decent to be honest. Good balance between sweet fruit and peaty smoke. Good. thanks guys.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours dark red/brownish. Thin off-white head. Caramel, dried fruits and som smokeiness. Medium body. Nice malty taste; sweet caramel, hint of the peated malt and a light finishing bitterness. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Caramel, bread, chocolate, nuts on the nose. Dark copper red, beige small head, hazy. Taste of licorice, toffee, brown malts, sweet with very light bitterness. Medium body, oily feel, average carbonation. Nice ale, long sweet aftertaste, something for the long winter nights.

Kobber mot rød i fargen med et fint offwhite skum. Lette røykaromaer sammen med karamell og nøtter. Smaken også med litt røyk sammen med en fin bitterhet. God alkoholvarme. Godt sammen med pinnekjøtt.

Tap at the brewery, Flåm, 25/10/14. Narrow-haloed copper glinting with ruby. Big dark berry, wax and peat aroma leaning towards Germany. Doppelbock-like beast with deep nectarine, plum, Everton mint and humbug suggestions. Pretty solid: another generic Ægir 14.
