The first thing that came to my mind was Oskar Blues’ Old Chub. I’m a big fan of that and this was a real winner as well. Less alcohol and maybe for the better. Where Old Chub knocks your teeth out, this one just slaps you with it’s glove. Big robust flavor. Must drink! Thanks for the hookup Lajos!

Rich golden dark brown color. Very little foam, some sediments but not bad for unfiltered ale.

50 cl bottle in Grebbestad. Brown a bit hazy beer with a small beige head. Leather, malty, chocolate, dark fruits and a bit smokey aroma. Sweet, leather, smokey, malty, raisin and a bit hoppy flavour. Nice beer with a lot of different tastes :-)

Bottle. Pours a deep, dark nougat brown body with a medium creamy off-white head, with some durability. Nose is peated malts, caramel and hints of bread. Taste is dark malts, caramel, peat, smoked ham and hints of toffee and licorice towards the end. Wonderfully smooth and very easy-going for a beer which is definitely bordering on the "smoked" category. Velvety, medium full body. Long smokey aftertaste with substantial amounts of roasty peat tones lingering. A very nice beer from Ægir, which definitely adds another dimension to their already diverse selection.

Bottle at home. The colour is clear deep brown, with a very small beige head. Aromas of dark wood, brown sugar, leather, barbecue sauce and hint of smoke. More smoke in the flavour along with burned wood, oak, leather, dark chocolate and alcohol. Slick and smooth mouth feel. Bitterness = light+. A fantastic beer in both aroma and taste.

Bottle, from a trade with Cunningham. Peated smoke aroma, chocolate, toffee, soot, some dark fruits, malty, some biscuits. Malty toffee and caramel flavor, peated, soot, figs, fruity, roasted, smoke, raisins, some hops. Smoke/peat is well balanced in the flavor, this is a really good beer.

Bottled (thanks Cunningham!). Rubyish copper colour with a big creamy slightly off-white head. Aroma is leather, toffee, quite strong fruity and ripe fruity notes as well. Flavour is leathery, toffeeish, some smoked wet wood and a nice fruity and floral bitterness to it as well. Get better as it warms up a bit from being fridge cold.

50cl bottle from Alko. Mahogany color, thick latte head. Dark fruits, bread, peat, malt in aroma, I like it. The beer has bready malt, toffee, sweetness, wood. Finish is long and quite sweet with dark fruits. At the same time mouthdrying. Great brew.
