COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lir er havets gud i Irsk mytologi, slik som Ægir i den norrøne mytologien. Vikingane kom til Irland i 795 og sjølv om nasjonaldrykken Stout ikkje vart oppfunnen før nesten tusen år seinare, ville dei sikkert ha sett pris på dette fløyelsmjuke, tørre og forholdsvis lette ølet. Ølet ber preg av rista bygg som gir smakar som minner om nøtter og kaffi, og passar godt til østers, lam og viltkjøt.

Bottle bought at Vinmonopolet in Trondheim, June 2014. Almost black with a small tan head. On the sweet side with roasted malt, chocolate and some toffee. The finish was dry. A descent one.

Bottled. A black beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, bread, and a bit of soy. The flavor is sweet with notes roasted malt, bread, and a bit of soy sauce, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Smooth slightly floury taste, mocca coffee, choco-malts, cocoa, dark chocolate, nutty chocolate. Very modest carbonation makes it a pleasure drinking. 29.03.2014. 0,5l Bottle. Stuelands Apothek. Black colour with off-white head. For a dry stout this is pretty sweet, Dark malts. Ligth roasted. This beer has the same smell as Captain Morgan! 500 ml bottle. Almost black body with a small, lacing beige head. Aroma has dark malt, a hint of chocolate and slightly peated. Flavor is sweet, dark moderate roasted malt, some liquorice, coffee and moderate bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Nice but not mind blowing.
