COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

29.03.2014. 0,5l Bottle. Stuelands Apothek. Black colour with off-white head. For a dry stout this is pretty sweet, Dark malts. Ligth roasted. This beer has the same smell as Captain Morgan! Aroma of brown candy sugar. Smooth also. Ligth bitter aftertaste. Good stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500 ml bottle. Almost black body with a small, lacing beige head. Aroma has dark malt, a hint of chocolate and slightly peated. Flavor is sweet, dark moderate roasted malt, some liquorice, coffee and moderate bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Nice but not mind blowing.

Helt svart med offwhite skum som blir liggende. Lukter kaffe og mørk sjokolade. Fyldig smak, kaffe, sjokolade, malt og litt røyk. Lite kullsyre, god medium bitter ettersmak.

Sampled from a bottle @ Bergen Ølfestival 2013. Deep deep dark brown near black in the glass this one and it has a nice big really lasting and lacing brown top. Really dark well roasted nose with a little bit of both dark chocolate, coffee and wet minerals. Really enjoyable this aroma. It has a nice really light, what I call cloudy mouthfeel and a just low average carbonation level. Again, it’s really well roasted in the taste - never to much though. Slightly minerallish also with hints of paper that’s finally leaving to a really roasted and lasting dry aftertaste. A really fine one! 06.08.2013

Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Langnes. Drukket i Skibotn 22 Des 13. Svart. OK mokkafarget skum som varer en stund. Lite kullsyre. Litt lacing. Forsiktig aroma av kaffe med antydning til lakris. Smaken er forbausende vassen. Snev av kaffe. Litt bunnfall.

Shared 500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Black colour, moderate to low tan head. Nice aroma of roasted barley and roasted nuts. Roasted barley, coffee and nuts in the dry flavour too, hints of wood. The bitterness could be more distinct. Not a trailblazing beer, but nice enough.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours a dark brown to black, under a low fine-bubbled tanned head. Clean dryish cocoa/chocolate aroma. Tones of dark dried fruits, hint of dusty and earthy hops. Good body. Powdery, kind of chalky texture, yet soft in the mouth. Dry/sweet, clean and roasty choco flavor. Firm malt- and hop-bitterness. Notes of dark dried fruits, also a certain fruity acidity. Dryish roasty chocolate finish. Elegant and well balanced with good drinkabilty.
