My Bottom Line:
Nice cereals early on move into timidity in this lean and forgettable Helles.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy beige.
-There seems to be a tannic touch in the end.
-This Helles lacks the plumpness of the best Bavarian examples.
-Carbonation is prickly, which doesn’t help the mouthfeel distinguish itself.

Bottle.

TWG; in the sun. Pours hazy golden, with a moderate somewhat lacing off-white head. Aroma is light malt, grass, light caramel and light citrus fruity.Taste is moderate sweet, light bitter and light spicy, short to moderate lasting. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Wischylini (125) - Grimstad, NORWAY - APR 19, 2014
Pours bright yellow with a small white head that quickly fades away, leaving a lacing on the sides of the glass. The aromas are pale malts and hay, and a very mild clove-like spicyness, there’s some fruity flavours as well - lemon, mostly. The taste is neither sweet nor bitter, but there is a slightly sour finish. The mouthfeel is medium, and the carbonation is fairly lively. Påskesol tastes like something inbetween a hefe and a pale lager - Boring.

Pours hazy yellow, frothy white head. Some malts, refreshing. Nose is stuffed, not much aroma. Will have to be re-rated.

Aroma is bready with a slight herbal/floral note. Slight, faint sulfur. Flavor is crisp with a nice malty backbone to it. Well balanced, not too bitter. Nice aftertaste.

djoeye (1380) - Tromsø, NORWAY - APR 6, 2014
Brown 50cl bottle 4.7% pours a bright off-white head on unclear orange-golden body with visible carbonation. A couple of lacings. Fruity grassy hops and herbal malts to the nose, hints of yellow apples, maybe a pear or two. Fruity slightly smoked malts in taste, grassy hops, different fruits, syrup, dried peach. Normal body, modest carbonation, alright balance, sweet and some bitter. Mild finish, to the sweet side. Overall a decent brew, doesn’t need more abv at all. (BBf08.02.15 b@Eurospar, tasted@home).
